Perfect date night outfit (for me anyways!) Adoring my new clutch and black skinnies I got last week. Pangaea is my favorite store in Nashville hands down!

things i am lovin' this week.

The wait is over and the new season of True Blood came out a few weeks ago and so far I must say it is going to be one heck of a season! For the premiere, I decided to go a little over the top for my friends who were coming to watch and I collected a ton of ideas of around the web and put them together to make my own True Blood themed get together.

Supplies:
small candles in red, white, or black (or mix and match)
red napkins & plates (or mix and match with black)
bloody mary ingredients
supplies to make red velvet cupcakes (along with white icing and red food coloring)
a large glass container to make your "talbot" drink


1- true blood season premiere! these snacks I put together for our premiere "party" made everyone "wanna do bad things". lovin' those blood splatter cupcakes (but not as much as the seeing the food coloring all over Madeline's face that made her look like a vampire!) & my Jar O' Talbot.

what I wore this week.

Put together this outfit from an idea I saw on the 'cali looks' portion of the HcO website. Best part was I already had all the pieces, I just needed the inspiration of how to put it all together. It was super comfy for a "hanging out at the house on a friday night" kinda outfit. other than this, I think I rocked out my pj's most of the week so not much to report there. ;)

things i am lovin' this week / what i wore this week.

1- visiting the ernest tubbs record store here in Nashville. Neat place to stop by & pick up a record & soak in some of what Nashville is know for, music.

2- lovin' this outfit. top, HcO; skirt, HcO; scarf, american eagle; bag, urban outfitters; (not shown, best part, cowboy boots -- locally purchased here in Nashville).

things i'm lovin' this week (kids edition).

1- DIY pretend makeup. Yet another Pinterest crafting inspiration (so I can't at all take credit), but I made these pretend makeups for my daughter and she was so excited when I gave them to her! It is wonderful when you can reuse items that would be trash & in turn make you kid smile & fuel her imagination.

• Supplies:
• Old nail polish (that you can no longer use to actually paint your nails) 
• Empty makeup containers
• Basically, just clean out the makeup containers. Then pour the nail polish (careful not to spill out the beads on the inside of polish) into the containers & let dry. 
• I made the swirls simply by of course pouring in a pattern using a different color. 
• TIP! : they take a lot longer to dry than I had anticipated. I let them dry for about 2 days before handing them over to Madeline. 

2- our brown bear, brown bear themed breakfast.  Made for a great way to start the day & she loved it!

• Honey
• The bear is pretty self explanatory on how to make, but I made some eggs that a bear would for sure be excited about! We drizzled honey on the eggs instead of using ketchup! Can't wait to find another themed breakfast to create! <3

3- high fivin' myself for completing some projects i've had on my pinterest "ideas" list & making my daughter smile! <3

1- imogene & willies for supper & song. Went to see RayLand Baxter (if you don't know who he is you MUST check his music out) play at this hipster style "venue" and enjoyed the taco cart and our BYOB beers. Plus it was neat to see them working on making their custom jeans as well.

2- what i wore. top, blush; undertop, HcO tank; jeans, HcO, bracelets, american eagle; clutch, pangaea; feather hair clip, sammi ryan; shades & necklace, tiffany & co.

1- Tootsie's Orchid Lounge for drinks & great music with friends. classic bar to visit here in Nashville.
